DC Baramulla review progress under Aspirational District Programme

Initiatives need to be taken for 100% Saturation in all Indicators/ Sectors: Dr Sehrish

BARAMULLA, JUNE 20 – The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today convened a meeting of all concerned officers at DC Office Complex here to review the progress achieved under different indicators of Aspirational District Programme.

The meeting held threadbare discussion and reviewed the progress achieved under Health, Education, Agriculture, Financial inclusion, Household Electrification, Water resources, Drinking Water, Internet Connectivity, Process Digitization and Skill Development.

During the meeting, other related sectors were also thoroughly discussed during which DC stressed upon the concerned officers to redouble their efforts so that targets fixed could be achieved within the stipulated time frame.

After taking a comprehensive review of all the sectors, Dr Sehrish projected that initiatives need to be taken by all departments to reach 100% saturation across the district.

Meanwhile, the DC directed to devise the appropriate and effective strategies for overcoming the issues confronting various indicators adding that there is a need to work with added zeal and enthusiasm for transforming the district from Aspirational to inspirational.

Furthermore, the concerned officers highlighted several issues and bottlenecks hampering the proper and smooth functioning wherein the DC assured that all the issues shall be redressed in a time bound manner.

Joint Director Planning M Yousuf Rather, Principal GMC Baramulla (Prof) Dr Ruby Reshi, SEs of R&B, PMGSY and JKPDC, Chief Education Officer, Chief Agriculture officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Medical Officer and other District Officers attended the meeting.
