The pavilion was jointly inaugurated by the Director Handicrafts and Handloom Kashmir, Mahmood Ahmad Shah and Director Handicrafts and Handloom Jammu, Vikas Gupta. According to an official spokesperson, as many as eleven government departments/corporations which include Agricultural, Horticulture, Agro Industries, JKI, JK Minerals, etc have set up their stalls in an eye-catching manner to showcase their products. IITF offers an ideal platform to showcase the Handicrafts and Handloom products under the ‘Vocal for Local’ campaign, and infuse renewed confidence and vigour in the economy of the UT,” he said.
