SRINAGAR, NOV 14 –  The Department of Management Studies University of Kashmir organised a special lecture by Prof Pankaj Chandra, Vice-Chancellor Ahmedabad University on the ‘Changing Paradigm in Management and Governance’.

Prof Chandra has served as Director Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, faculty at McGill University and IIM Ahmedabad, and a visiting professor at the University of Geneva.

In his exhaustive lecture, Prof Chandra dwelt extensively on the topic and highlighted the upcoming areas and the related challenges faced by various countries and institutions. He also provided the students an overview of how they can excel in the environment of challenges and complexities.

Prof Chandra elaborated on the role of upgrading the pedagogy and curriculum of the management to “keep it relevant”, even as he offered the students an insight into skills and competencies required to excel in the world of business management.

Prof Iqbal Ahmad Hakim, Head Department of Management Studies welcomed Prof Chandra and said it is a great moment for the department to have him interact with its students.

“Such interactions are vital for the growth and development of the institution and for enhancing the learning experience and broadening the horizons of the management students,” Prof Hakim said.

The lecture was followed by a question-answer session.
