KUPWARA, KARNAH, MAY 04 – In a significant step to strengthen education in the far-flung and sensitive border region of Karnah, Tehsildar Karnah, Mohammad Amin Bhat, conducted a surprise inspection of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) Baghballa, located in the Tangdar educational zone. He was accompanied by Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Tangdar, Shah Mohammad, and ZEPO Tangdar.
Karnah, situated nearly 60 kilometers from Kupwara district headquarters, lies close to the Line of Control (LoC) and often faces the brunt of cross-border tensions. Despite these challenges, the administration continues its efforts to ensure that education remains uninterrupted and accessible.
During the inspection, the officials thoroughly reviewed the functioning of the residential school. Special attention was given to the academic progress of the students, teaching quality, hostel facilities, and overall discipline. The team interacted with both teachers and students, observing the learning environment and addressing various concerns.
Tehsildar Karnah instructed staff to focus on providing quality education and fostering a teacher-student friendly atmosphere. He also expressed concern that due to the prevailing border situation, some parents are reluctant to send their daughters to school. He assured the community that the administration is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment for all students.
ZEO Tangdar emphasized the need for consistent monitoring and pledged full support to improve academic outcomes in the school. The visit reflects the commitment of the District Administration Kupwara and Directorate of School Education Kashmir towards uplifting educational standards in remote and conflict-affected areas.
