Indian Army’s Mahar Regiment Hosts Grand Iftar Party

KARNAH, MARCH 23 – In a remarkable gesture of communal harmony and military-civilian camaraderie, the Mahar Regiment of the Indian Army, under the aegis of the Shakti Vijay Brigade, organized a grand Iftar party at Chamkote. The event witnessed the participation of approximately 250 people, including Ex-Servicemen, former Sarpanchs, Nambardars, local administration officials, and residents of the region.

The initiative aimed to foster goodwill between the Army and the local population, reinforcing the spirit of unity and cooperation. As the sun set, attendees gathered to break their fast in an atmosphere of warmth and brotherhood. The gathering was not only a moment of spiritual significance but also an opportunity for meaningful discussions on local development, security, and progress.

Local elders and ex-servicemen expressed their appreciation for the Army’s efforts in strengthening civil-military relations. They lauded the Shakti Vijay Brigade and the Mahar Regiment for their consistent engagement with the people of Karnah, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in promoting peace and stability in the region.

A senior officer from the Mahar Regiment addressed the gathering, highlighting the Army’s commitment to not just securing the borders but also to fostering community welfare and social unity. This initiative by the Shakti Vijay Brigade and the Mahar Regiment once again showcased the Indian Army’s dedication to working closely with local communities for a peaceful and inclusive future.
