SRINAGAR, APRIL 15 – Altaf Bukhari, president of the Apni Party, stated that his time of significance is yet to come, expressing confidence in receiving support from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) when it does.

Regarding allegations of ties with the BJP, Bukhari said his open meetings with PM Modi and other leaders, denying any secrecy.

“My has not come yet and whenever it comes, entire Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be with him,” he told reporters.

He also said that Apni party has made the decision to only field candidates from Kashmir and will support those in Jammu who guarantee the restoration of statehood and employment opportunities for youth,” he said, adding that the party’s four-year political strategy is based on facts and people are joining the party due to its truthful approach to politics.

“I hold great respect for all political leaders, and my doors are always open to everyone. Contrary to rumors, I have not met with the BJP in the darkness of night. It is a fact that Omar Abdullah has left Srinagar,” he said.
