The program was presided over by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Shakeel Ur Rehman, who delivered a motivating message to students and parents alike.

The program was attended by ADC Umar Shafi, CEO Mohammad Amin Beigh, Subject Expert Dr Malik Roshan Ara, DyCEO Dr. GM Pujoo and a galaxy of students, parents, teachers, and experts besides officials from education department Bandipora.

Emphasizing the importance of mental health and emotional well-being, Shakeel Ur Rehman advised students to approach exams with a positive attitude and not succumb to stress. He encouraged them to focus on understanding concepts and enjoying the learning process rather than solely aiming for high scores.

The DC also addressed the gathering of parents, highlighting the crucial role they play in supporting their children’s academic journey. He urged them to understand the dreams and aspirations of their children instead of pressuring them to conform to societal expectations or engage in unhealthy competition.

Support them in exploring their passions and encourage them to pursue their dreams, regardless of exam results, the DC added.

The program also featured interactive sessions with experts and counselors who provided valuable insights on managing exam stress, developing effective study habits, and maintaining mental well-being. Students actively participated in the sessions, asking questions and sharing their experiences.

Chief Education Officer Bandipora, Mohammad Amin Beigh said that the initiative is a positive step towards promoting a healthy and supportive environment for students during their academic journey and emphasized that Teachers and Parents need to proactively work on this sensitive issue of students.

Dr. Malik Roshan Ara, HoD, Department of Psychology, GDC Sopore and Dr. G M Pujoo, DyCEO, Bandipora also spoke on the occasion and underscored the importance of counseling and awareness about examination stress and various fears associated with examinations.
