Bela village witnesses Music and Dance Programme

KATHUA, MAR 16 – Yet another vibrant Music and Dance programme was organised by the Sub Office Kathua of J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages here today at Village Bela of Kathua district in which over 100 seasonal artists gave their mesmerising performance in front of august gathering. The programme was conducted under the direction of Secretary J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages Sh. Bharat Singh JKAS. Kewal Singh Sarpanch of Bela village was the chief guest on the occasion whereas Jasbir Singh Sarpanch Village Sarara,Samba was the guest of honor.

While addressing the gathering Kewal Singh Sarpanch of Bela village shared the uniqueness of today’s event was aimed at giving a new flip and ease of life to every music and dance form. He said that preservation of culture should be taken seriously like JKAACL has done today. He further congratulated the artists for giving out of the world performance in his Panchayat.

Today’s programme was started with a vibrant performance by Sachin kattal and Party & Dhrub Singh and Party who presented dogri songs in a manner which got them applause from everyone. The programme was further taken by Archna Sharma and Party (Kashmir Dance), Rajkumar and Party (Haran Dance), Ganesh Kumar and Party (Dogri folk), Chanchla Devi and Party (Dogri folk), Suman Lata and Party (Punjabi folk) and Ram ditta and Party (Geetru) who left no stone unturned to make the event a successful one. They performed flawlessly and got appreciation from all the people sitting out there.

The grand finale of the programme was presented by Raman Salathia and Group. Accompanied by the flute player Rakesh Jasotra, Salathia brothers created a crescendo through their unique style of chorus singing.

Earlier while addressing the audiences, Sanjeev Gupta SOCA, JKAACL Sub-Office, Kathua shared that J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages is always ready to give a chance to every artist. We are trying to reach the unreached alongwith the youth so that we can take our culture to every household. Since the last couple of days we have already given chances to many local artists to showcase their talent which we will do in the near future too.

The programme was ably conducted by Sat Pal Salarvi and coordinated by Shoket Ali.
