Imran Khan met with Rahul Gandhi during Bharat Jodho Yatra

JAMMU, JAN 24 – Large numbers of people have reached Jammu to participate in Bharat Jodho Yatra and journalists from across the country were present to cover Bharat Jodho Yatra. The one man who shine in Jammu was Imran Khan Journalist from Thannamandi area of District Rajouri. He met with Rahul Gandhi in  Jammu and told him that  the media in JK is providing coverage of all the issues of common people in all leading newspapers. He also showed him the press cutting of leading newspaper  Daily Excelsior covering Bharat Jodho Yatra from day one. Imran Khan is working with Daily Excelsior and during his interaction he shared news of Bharat Jodho Yatra covered by Daily Excelsior. During his interaction Rahul Gandhi told him about his mission to start Yatra  and told him that unemployment and poverty is at its highest rate in India and the Government at centre isn’t concerned about the problems of people and instead of controlling poverty and unemployment they are spreading hate among people. Even they don’t allow Independent Institutions to work on their own.

Imran Khan told him  that people of entire J&K like him very much  and were eagerly waiting for the entry of Bharat Jodho Yatra in Jammu and that’s why people in large numbers came on road to welcome him. During the meet he also shared with him about his reason for wearing a T Shirt in a cold climate as he met three girls in a shirt and after that he decided to complete the Yatra in a simple T Shirt and will wear a jacket only when he feels cold. Rahul Gandhi said that he feels the problems being faced by people and is very much concerned about them. Imran told him that the media in J&K is independent and covering all the happenings of the day today and there is no such issue of being deviated to only one party or region.

Rahul Gandhi highly appreciated him for his work done and for raising public issues in the media. Rahul Gandhi said that he visited Border areas of Poonch in 2015 and haven’t seen any changes till now after that and from that large no of people are killed. He said that Yatra is very successful for him as he  interacted  with different people during Yatra and learned a lot from them.  He added that from day one to till now people in large no are joining with him everyday. He said that everyone will see how people will welcome the Yatra in Srinagar. He added that he is spreading the message of peace and brotherhood through this Yatra.
