Pranks are not only a part of the human world, but the digital platform can also play tricks, however, these digital pranks may be inspired by humans (the tacticians). People are hurt for no reason. They are tortured for no reason. By any means whatsoever, common people in societies are not spared from being irked by different approaches. Just in case, an increment in the electricity bills, for example, had to be a norm, people should have been informed and allotted enough time to let them get prepared to pay it. The uninvited bills are getting on people’s nerves. In some areas, an increase in the electricity cost per month has an excuse for installing smart meters (when people actually utilise a lesser amount of power out of what is supplied to them). In other areas, where these apparently well-healed electric meters are not installed, there is no reason for facing an overcharge or any increase in the bills. These unscheduled dues are just a means of propelling a stressed environment for the poor people who can barely afford heavy energy costs. The administration must intervene in the matter and the Department of Power Development should ensure a regular check on the metered and non-metered households and the newly smart-metered households to assure people of reliability. These digital pranks must be ended and people must be secured at the end of the department. Panic among people can prove to be a prime reason for mistrust of authority. Instead of engineering pressure and emotional distress among people, they should be relieved of the load.
