DC listens to public issues at Block HQ Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, JAN 04 – Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Krittika Jyotsna today listened to public issues and demands at the weekly Block Diwas programme held in Block Head Quarter Udhampur.

Additional District Development Commissioner, Ghan Shyam Singh; DFO, Rushal Garg; ACD, Ranjeet Kotwal and other district officers of various departments attended the Block Diwas.

 BDC Chairman, Balwan Singh, DDC Councillor, Puran Chand, DDC, Tikri Ashu Sharma, Sarpanches, Panches  besides local people of adjoining panchayats projected several issues and demands  being faced by the people.  The sought electricity poles, repairing of hand pumps, activation of ration cards, compensation for acquired land, resolving Low voltage problem, fixing of damaged Water pipes, Construction of boundary wall at Battal Ballian School, improvement of sewerage,  meeting paucity of drinking water, avoiding unscheduled power cuts, construction of lane drain, Appointment of  Sweeper in panchayats, Transport facility, Traffic jamming etc.

Responding to the demands, the DC assured the PRIs and local people that all their genuine issues would be addressed in a time bound manner.

The DC directed the officers to work in coordination for equitable development of all Panchayats. She directed concerned officers to resolve the genuine demands of the public on priority and submit the detailed report of pending issues to project the same to higher authorities for consideration. The DC said that the main objective of conducting Block Diwas was to resolve day to day public issues and the implementation of centrally sponsored schemes on the ground.

The DC asked PRIs to work efficiently for implementation of these welfare schemes on the ground and all schemes are implemented effectively on the ground.
