Harassment doesn’t seem to end in the valley whether at educational institutions or at the workplace, on streets, or in public vehicles, the growing practice has ended the concept of modesty among men who follow it. Affecting the essence of peace among genders, harassment has become an issue that needs to be dealt with promptly. The recent case of harassment with a female student at the Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Science and Technology (SKAUST) got instant assistance from the Administration. The official, however, got suspended from duty as a consequence of the case registered by the student. The fact is that harassment cells should be introduced in all educational institutions including schools, colleges, and universities to get such cases registered without any delay. The cells should not be gender specific and redress the issues of women only but of other genders as well so that no gender feels discriminated against and men, women, and third-gender persons make an official complaints regarding harassment. These complaints must be forwarded to the police and the administration to seek immediate help. Cleansing society of such miscreants and ensuring all genders especially women and third-gender persons live unreservedly in a common environment. The implementation of a sense of modesty and good behavior toward one another is required. Planting the seeds of morality among the people must be assured to cater to the development of society.  Workplaces should also equip people with the facility of security against harassment.
