Keller Police arrested timber smugglers and seized illicit timber

SHOPIAN, NOV 17 – Acting on specific input about timber smuggling, A Police party from Police Station Keller headed by SHO Keller Insp. Manzoor Ahmad Shah raids after specific input  and recovered  illicit timber from the premises of 2 smugglers  Residents of peer pora Keegam and Monloo Shopian  area of district Shopian.

Accused involved in the commission of a crime were arrested and case FIR No. U/S 379 IPC, 26 Forest Act has been registered at PS Keller and further investigation into the matter is going on. More arrests and  recoveries are expected.

Shopian Police vows to continue its strict action against Timber Smugglers, so that Green Gold can be saved for future generations.

People of the area hailed such action and re-affirmed faith in the police, especially SHO Keller.
