‘Students engaged in games, play-way quizzes’

SRINAGAR, NOV 14 –  In Kashmir valley most of the government and recognized private schools on Monday celebrated ‘Children’s Day’ with joyful activities.

Some of the students and teachers of different schools described Children’s Day as a ‘joyful and learning day.’

One of the government school teachers, Nazir Ahmad said, “On the eve of Children’s Day, we organized different games and play-way quizzes and speeches.”

Ahmad said that almost all of the schools had organized recreational games, speech programmes of students, skits of students’ dance and music performance, prize distribution, gifts and awards were also given to the students.

The teacher further said that there were no academic activities in the schools and the students were engaged in different play-way activities.

Another teacher of a private school, Uzma said, “The celebration of Children’s Day is a boost to the students as they feel they are the important elements of the society.” Students in our school were extremely happy to celebrate this day.”

She said that the play-way method further increases the capability of the students.

Meanwhile, one of the 10th standard students, Amir Ahmed said, “This special day is always exciting for us as we become the centre focus for the entire day in school.”

He said that getting a break from the routine school schedule and special treatment from the teachers makes our bond with the teachers and the school even stronger.

“It also changes our approach towards the studies and our teachers,” Amir said.
