On the occasion, a number of activities were conducted in all 66 Panchayat Halqas spanning across the blocks.

Joint Director Information, Anam Ul Haq Siddiqui visited Panchayat Halqa Shurat Kulgam as Visiting Officer under ongoing ambitious “Back to Village” programme phase 4 to assess the development issues of the Panchayat.

He met PRIs and locals and interacted with them, listened to them patiently to take stock of their genuine demands pertaining to their respective areas.

While interacting with the people, the Jt. Director said that the ‘Back to Village’ Programme is to ensure public participation of people in the local governance setup.
