ADDC B’pora concludes 2 day visit to Gurez valley; Number of projects completed, various in hand

BANDIPORA – The Additional District Development Commissioner Bandipora, Mohammad Ashraf Hakak inspected various ongoing works during his two days visit to Gurez Sub-division.

The ADDC was accompanied by SDM Gurez Dr. Mudasir, Executive Engineer SSD Gurez, Farooq Ahmad, BDO concerned and DDC Tasleema Begum/BDC concerned

During the tour, the team visited KGBV Dawar coming up with a cost of Rs. 1.05 crore and is near completion. The executing agency was directed to complete it within a week. On completion the KGBV will house the school meant for girl students and will also provide hostel facilities.

The ADDC also visited WSS at Achoora coming up under JJM with an estimated cost of Rs. 122 lacs and will benefit the population of twin villages of Achoora and Chorwon.

While inspecting WSS Check Nallah Markoot coming up at a cost of Rs. 450.96 lacs, it was given out that its completion will augment the potable drinking water system at Sub-divisional Headquarter Dawar and will also provide drinking water facilities to Markoot and Mastan hamlets.

During inspection of pace on work of Achoora Bye pass coming up at an estimated cost of Rs. 339.20 lacs, it was informed that the road will provide alternate road facility from Dawar to Tulail.

The ADDC also inspected the work on the Sub Centre at Markoot coming up at the cost of Rs. 33.90 lacs.

While inspecting Kanzalwan – Bagtore PMGSY road coming up at a cost of Rs. 7.10 crore, it was informed that the work is in progress on the project. The ADDC issued directions for removing all bottlenecks to pave the way for its early completion. It was given out that black topping will be completed till October 2022.

Hakak also took stock of various works carried under DDC/BDC/PRI grants and visited Panchayat Ghar Dawar, Panchayat Ghar Wanpora, Panchayat Ghar Markoot and construction of footpath at Achoora, Markoot, Wanpora, Izmarg, Bagtore, Tarbal and Kanzalwan.

During the visit, the ADDC interacted with DDC/BDC PRIs who called for construction of adequate accommodation on account of which they said they are facing immense hardship. They also asked for expediting the pace of development as the working season is limited there.

Hakak, who also holds the post of District Programme Officer attended a programme conducted by ICDS deptt in collaboration with Medical department Dawar where expecting mothers, adolescent girls, women and children in large numbers were provided medical advice and screened for anemia and deficiency related issues. They were also provided with supplementary diet and medicines.
