DC Kathua reviews performance of R&B, JKPCC & PMGSY

KATHUA – Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rahul Pandey reviewed the progress of work on projects being executed by PMGSY PWD and Jammu and Kashmir Project Construction Corporation, here at a meeting of concerned officers held in the Conference Hall of DC office Complex, the other day.

During the meeting, the DC reviewed the progress of works taken up under different schemes and directed the concerned to work out plan of action for completion of the pending schemes within set timelines.

While reviewing the PMGSY sector works, the DC directed the officers to follow the forest clearance for all the road projects proposed to be taken up in the district.

The DC also called for assessing the project feasibility before starting the work so as to avoid any hindrances later in the project execution.

The DC directed the XENs to pace up the speed to complete all works in a time bound manner. He also called for removing bottlenecks to achieve maximum target works within stipulated time.

The DC impressed upon the concerned officer to release money for utility shifting to the executing agencies and also laid thrust on ensuring early tendering and allotment of all identified works.

Regarding the pending works, the DC called upon the concerned officers to fix responsibility of the contractor and serve show cause notice for unnecessary delays.

The DC further called upon the officers to execute all works under different schemes in a transparent and time bound manner.

The meeting was attended by DFO, CPO, XEN PWD Div Kathua, Basohli, CEO, XEN PMGSY Div Billawar, Kathua and other district officers.
