SRINAGAR – Jammu and Kashmir reported one new covid-19 case while there was no death due to the pathogen in the last 24 hours, officials said on Tuesday.

They said that the lone case was reported from Jammu district, taking the overall tally to 454249—166471 in Jammu division and 287778 in Kashmir.

There was also no death due to the pathogen reported in the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4752 persons have succumbed to the virus—2328 in Jammu and 2424 in Kashmir.

Besides, they said, 11 Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours—six from Jammu division and five from Kashmir. So far 449443 people have recovered, leaving the active case tally at 54— 43 in Jammu and 11 in Kashmir.

The officials said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. They also informed that 8737 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
