DLSA Anantnag celebrates International women’s day

ANANTNAG – The District Legal Services Authority Anantnag in collaboration with Principal Government Degree College (Women’s) Anantnag under the Chairmanship of Mr. Naseer Ahmad Dar Principal District and Sessions Judge (Chairman DLSA) Anantnag celebrated International Women’s Day.
In continuation of Plan of Action and activity programmes formulated by JK SLSA today on 8th march 2022 District Legal Service Authority Anantnag celebrated “International Women’s Day” by organizing an awareness programme on women’s rights in coordination with Govt. Degree College Women Anantnag.
On this occasion Mr. Mir Wajahat Secretary DLSA was present who was the sole speaker on the occasion. He delivered a speech on Theme Of International Women’s Day for the year 2022; which is Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”, which aims to recognise women who are working to build a more sustainable future. However, the International Women’s Day website diverted from the UN given theme and announced: “Break The Bias” as this year’s concept. He expressed the efficacy of the event and purpose of the day to uphold women’s achievements, recognized challenges and focus greater attention on women.
Further, the Principal Degree College Women’s Anantnag Dr.Irfana Majid  also spoke on the occasion and delivered an inaugural address highlighting the constitutional ideals of Women’s rights in Part 3rd of Indian constitution, in the chapter of fundamental rights and Directive principles of state Policy and legislations made thereunder. The faculty members, students and the  Under Secretary Legal service authority was also present who participated in the interactive session with full fervour.
