MATHURA – Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday launched a scathing attack on Congress and said the people will not tolerate Congress leaders raising questions on the valour of Indian Army.
Reacting on the comment of former Congress president and MP Rahul Gandhi on China-Pakistan relationship, Rajnath said two major encroachments took place during the regime of Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi governments.
He said, “Is Rahul not aware of the history? When Pakistan conceded Shaksgam valley to China Jawaharlal Nehru was the Prime Minister at that time. Not only this when Karakoram highway was constructed in Pak occupied Kashmir, the PM was not of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Indira Gandhi was the PM. And you (Rahul Gandhi) say Pakistan and China have come closer due to wrong foreign policies of the BJP. China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) started during the Congress regime.”
Rajnath also accused Samajwadi Party (SP) of doing politics of appeasement. “SP is indulging in politics of appeasement. Politics should be done for nation building and not only to form the government. Politics of religion and caste is not acceptable to BJP,” he said.

Highlighting the works of Yogi government he said, “Earlier there were only two to four medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh. We decided that there will be one medical college in every district of the state. Today 59 medical colleges have either been constructed or are under construction,” he said.
