Police facilitates PCPG meetings in Kulgam

KULGAM –  As a part of Public outreach programme, a series of Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meetings were facilitated by Kulgam Police at PS Kulgam and PS Kund.

The meetings were chaired by SHO PS Kulgam Insp Jazib Mohammad and SHO PS Kund SI Mohd Hussain. Besides, other officers and officials of Police Station Kulgam and Kund were also present in the meetings. These meetings were attended by respectable citizens including Auqaf committees, Imams, Numberdars, Sarpanchs of respective jurisdictional areas.

During these meetings, the participants raised various issues pertaining to Police and civil authorities. The chairing officers assured them that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority while as the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with concerned authorities for their early redressal. The participants were also requested to co-operate with Police and administration in maintaining law & order in the area and in identifying anti-national & anti-social elements. The chairing officers also briefed the participants about the apprehensions of spread of Covid-19 and were requested to spread awareness among masses to follow Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB). The chairing officers also briefed participants about preventive measures to contain spread of Covid-19. Besides, SHO Kund also urged participants to follow the Covid-19 SOPs in letter & spirit during the upcoming Urs of Hazrat Syed Noorshah Wali Bagdadi (RA) at Waltengo.

The participants in the meetings assured their full co-operation to Police in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely.
