With Cultural Celebrations, National Youth Festival concludes In Degree College Bhaderwah

BHADARWAH – With Cultural Celebrations, five days long programme under ‘National Youth Festival’ that had started on 12 January on Swami Vivekananda jayanti and National Youth Day concluded here on Sunday.
On this occasion,, more than 100 cadets, staff members of GDC Bhadarwah and ANOs from different institutions joined the program on virtual google meet.
As per a release, Dr kuldeep kumar Sharma Principal of the college was the chief guest and Col SS Rawat CO 2JK independent coy NCC bhaderwah was the guest of honor on this occasion.
The program started with welcome address by Lt Prithvi Raj associate NCC officer. While welcoming the dignitaries present during the program, he briefed about the events which took place during five days which included  morning walks, yoga and meditation; debates, extempore, speeches, video making,  poster making competition and poem recitation. He also elaborated the importance of the indigenous games and local folk songs and folk dances, release said.
A colorful program was presented on this occasion by cadets including items of Bhadarwahi,  Himachali and Dogri folk music. The cadets also presented a dance number on the local folklore which received a great applause from the the audiences, the release further said.
Speaking to the participants, Dr kuldeep kumar Sharma Principal of the college congratulated NCC cadets for their tireless efforts in making five days ‘National Youth Festival’ a success. He also gave a brief account on the life history of Swami Vivekananda and asked audience to inculcate such qualities among  them as well, release added.
Col SS Rawat CO, in his address gave motivation lecture to the cadets and other participants to have positive thinking while quoting different examples.
 Senior cadet Vaishali Bhagat recited a poem describing importance of games in life, release informed.
Participants who performed different cultural numbers on the occasion included cdt Diksha kotwal, Cdt komal, Cdt Kavita, Cdt Arvinder singh, JUO Adil Ajaz, Cdt Samiksha Devi,  Cdt Diviya Bharti & Cdt Archana Devi while the song items were presented by  Cdt Sachin Kumar, cadet Nitish Kumar,  Cdt Adil Ajaz,  Cdt Shikha Padha and Cdt komal Devi.
 Suo Salooni and CQMs Shalni kotwal compared the programme while vote of thanks was read out by CQMs Rahul kumar, release further said.
