DC Ganderbal listens issues of PRIs of Block Wakura

GANDERBAL – As part of the weekly Block Diwas initiative launched by the Government of J&K, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today conducted interaction programme with the PRI representatives of block Wakura at Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat, here.

During the interaction programme, BDC Chairperson Wakura, Sarpanchs and Panchs of block Wakura apprised the DC about various basic issues related to revenue, augmentation of water supply and electricity, repairing of defunct Bore-wells, improvement of roads, Sub-centre at Wakura village and other demands of public importance.

The DC patiently listened to all the issues and demands put forth by the PRIs and directed the concerned officers to prepare a list of issues/grievances pertaining to their departments and resolve the ones within their jurisdiction in a week’s time and the same shall be shared with the PRIs.

Replying to the demands and issues raised, the DC directed the ACD to take inter-departmental meetings taking PRIs on board and prepare a holistic list of works that need to be taken on priority and have maximum impact on ground so that the next plan is prepared accordingly.

Meanwhile, the DC also enquired about the status of ongoing works in block Wakura and directed the BDO to ensure monitoring of these works by way of carrying regular field visits and urged PRIs to play their active role in monitoring of ongoing works in their Panchayats and sought their cooperation for timely completion of these works.

The officers present during the interaction program included ADDC, Pir Muzafar Ahmad, ADC, Farooq Ahmad Baba, ACD, ACP, Dy.SP, Ex. Engineers of various wings, CMO, CEO, Tehsildar Wakura, BDO and other concerned.
