SRINAGAR – National Conference President  Farooq Abdullah  said on Sunday that Kashmiris were not  involved in the recent civilian killings  in Jammu and Kashmir and alleged that these attacks were carried out under a conspiracy to defame them (Kashmiris).

“It is extremely unfortunate that civilians are being killed in Kashmir to give bad name to the Kashmiris”, Farooq Abdullah who is also member parliament said while talking to the media persons in Srinagar.

He said Kashmiris are not carrying out these killings. It is a great conspiracy to defame the Kashmiri and to disrupt the peace in the valley, he said.

In reply to  a question  regarding NSA talks to be held in November in which Pakistan has been invited, he said, “any effort which will take both the countries—India and Pakistan– on the friendship table should be availed”.

“ We believe in Allah –both India and Pakistan should avail the opportunity to became mutual friends so that we people could live peacefully”, Dr Farooq added.
