J&K Reports 203 Covid-19 Cases, One Death

Srinagar – Jammu and Kashmir reported 203 new covid-19 cases while one person succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Thursday.

They said that 74 of the fresh cases were reported from Jammu division and 129 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 319355.

Regarding the death due to the virus, they said, it was reported from Jammu division and none from Kashmir, taking the fatality count to 4361.

Providing the district-wide details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 42 cases, Baramulla 15, Budgam 11, Pulwama 6, Kupwara 12, Anantnag 9, Bandipora 13, Ganderbal 19, Kulgam 2, Shopian 0, Jammu 11, Udhampur 7, Rajouri 16, Doda 3, Kathua 0, Samba 1, Kishtwar 6, Poonch 5, Ramban 3 and Reasi 22.

A number of these cases were confirmed at diagnostic laboratories of CD hospital and GMC Anantnag.

The CD cases include female (52) from Tiken Pul, male (25) from Litter Pul, male (35) from Hajin Payeen Pul, female (7) from Newa Pul, male (14) from Kadipora Pul, female (15) from Adhmander Pul, female (35) from Main Jammu, male (35) from Qasba Yaar Pul, male (24) from Arabal Pul, male (23) from Bihar, female (32) from Tanchi Bagh, female (31) from Ratnipora, female (25) from Kupwara, male (12) from Lariyar, female (30) from Shairabad, male (14) from Nowshera, female (51) from Srinagar, female (20) from Nowhatta, female (70) from Hyderpora, female (37) from Indra Nagar, female (65) from Nowshera, two females (62, 75) and two males (61, 44) from NA, male (62) from Rambagh, male (30) from Kokernag, male (46) from Batamaloo, male (47) from Bemina, male (53) from Baghat Shoura, male (45) from Nishat, female (42) from Zakura, male (38) from Mulfaq, female (15) from Karfali Mohalla, female (26) from Fatehkadal, two males (61, 43) from Chennai, female (27) from Dargah, male (54) from Peerbagh, female (35) and male (38) from Nowhatta, female (45) from Gilli Kadal, female (27) from Budgam, female (NA) from Kupwara and female (65) from Anantnag.

The GMC Anantnag cases include two males (35, 40) from Mehand Bij, female (68) from Veeri Bij, male (36) from Sundbari, female (25) from Hengipora Kapran.

Moreover, they said, 358 more COVID-19 patients have recovered—161 from Jammu Division and 197 from Kashmir Valley. So far 312890 people have recovered while 4361 others have succumbed to the virus, leaving active cases at 2104 in J&K—850 in Jammu and 1254 in the Valley.

There was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today and thus the cumulative number of confirmed cases remained at 32 in J&K.
