New Delhi – The Congress on Saturday launched a nation-wide Jan Sampark Abhiyan (public outreach campaign) in Okhla to help corona affected people.

Senior Congress leader and former MP Parvez Hashmi kick-started the campaign in Sarita Vihar ward of Okhla assembly constituency.

Congress delegate Sundar Singh Pappi said that party activists will reach out to people and get a form filled by them in which the latter will state how corona affected their life.

The families will be asked whether they lost family member or jobs to the virus or suffered losses due to the pandemic and what help they got from the government, Mr Pappi said.

The party workers would provide necessary medical kits, masks, sanitizers to the corona affected families, ration to the poor families and would also help in registration for vaccination.
