Jammu – A girl attempted suicide by jumping into River Tawi here on Monday afternoon.
Police said that an information received that one girl namely Kajal Dhawan of Rajpur, Rehari, jumped from the bridge in Gujjar Nagar area and made a bid on her life.
They said a team was immediately rushed to the spot and the girl was rescued and shifted to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for further treatment.
The Investigating Officer has been deputed for recording the statement of the victim and further investigation is in progress, police added.
