In his interaction with the participants, Khan dwelt at length on various stages of preparation for the civil services examination. He urged the aspirants to remain focused and work hard to achieve their goal.

“Your preparation for the examination has to be result-oriented. It has to be devised in a systematic manner so that all aspects are covered well in time,” he told the aspirants, who later posed several questions to him.

Khan said the first and the foremost thing that every civil service aspirant must focus on is to explore why he/she is opting for civil services as a career.

“Once you are convinced rationally, your next step should straightaway be to start preparing for the examinations,” he said, adding that rigorous newspaper reading and going through previous years’ question papers and mock tests will go a long way in helping students to stay focused on their goal.

Dean, College Development Council, University of Kashmir Prof Mohi-ud-Din Sangmi, who was the chief guest on the occasion, hailed the CCPC for its untiring efforts in excelling in all its domains, including coaching and training.

Once it has its own hostel allocated to it, the CCPC shall be a full-fledged Residential Coaching Academy, Prof Sangmi said, underscoring the importance of right training and right coaching for the civil service aspirants to be successful.

In his welcome address, Director CCPC Prof Mohammad Shafi highlighted the achievements of the Centre vis-à-vis job placements and coaching.

He reiterated that due to the prevailing pandemic situation, the Centre has shifted its domains to online platforms to continue with its activities in a hassle-free manner.

Consultants at CCPC Dr Bilal Ahmad Pandow and Hina Kazmi moderated this interaction session.
