J&K Reports 866 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, 14 Deaths

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported 866 new covid-19 cases while fourteen people succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Saturday.

They said 265 of the cases were from Jammu Division and 601 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total infection count so far in J&K to 306638.

Regarding 14 fresh deaths, they said eight were reported from Jammu Division and six from Kashmir valley, taking the total fatality count to 4174.

Providing district-wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 164 cases, Baramulla 66, Budgam 71, Pulwama 71, Kupwara 68, Anantnag 51, Bandipora 34, Ganderbal 31, Kulgam 37, Shopian 8, Jammu 34, Udhampur 18, Rajouri 32, Doda 45, Kathua 12, Samba 20, Kishtwar 5, Poonch 29, Ramban 50 and Reasi 20.

Moreover, they said, 2153 more COVID-19 patients have recovered—707 from Jammu Division and 1446 from Kashmir. So far 286180 people have recovered, leaving the number of active positive cases to 16284—6022 in Jammu and 10262 in Kashmir.

A number of the fresh covid-19 cases were confirmed at GMC Anantnag’s diagnostic laboratory and include male (50) from Hakura, female (65) from Danwath, male (25) from Janglat Mandi, female (23) from Aishmuqam, female (45) from Pahalgam, female (15) from Kanganhall, male (40) from Achabal, female (40) from Brakpora, male (47) from Puroo, male (30) and female (32) from Panzgam, male (35) from Magam, male (19) from Soaf, male (68) from H Colony Bij, female (42) from Chakoora Pul, female (26) from Omoh, female (25) from Akingam, male (31) from Ugjan, male (28) from Damjan, male (29) from Malaknag, female (44) and male (40) from Cheeni Chowk, male (27) from 40-BT Ashajipora, male (30) from S K Colony, male (29) from Nai Basti, male (17) from Shirpora, female (70) from Kadipora, male (26) from Aaung Ang, two males (30, 34) from Achabal, male (31) from Ashajipora, male (21) from T N Pora, female (85) from Qaimoh, male (20) from Shamsipora, male (21) from Bhan, male (15) from Qaimoh, female (48) and male (19) from Wanpoh, male (35) from Harnag, five males (40, 55, 40, 36, 50) from BPL Lavedoora, male (28) from Kund, male (29) from Vessu, male (50) from Branil, female (64) and two males (42, 20) from Nigeenpora, two females (45, 22) and male (55) from Sadiwara, female (35) from Khallen Pul, male (20) from Darigund Bij, male (21) from Mehand Wopzan, male (25) from Soaf, male (35) from Adigam, female (18) from Magam, male (43) from Aishmuqam, male (35) from KP Road Lazibal, female (19) from Nanil, female (28) from Chowgund, male (61) from Achabal amd female (40) from Peertakiya.
