The Yatra Antecedent

The major mass voyage from across the country has always been welcomed by the valley of Kashmir. The religious fervor has been uplifted by the people of Kashmir for a community that is more their own. Kashmiri pandits along with the Hindus from all India trek to the Amarnath cave every year served affably in the valley. This year, when the whole world is aborting all sorts of gatherings, the Yatra seems to be impossible to carry. The Covid pandemic is worsening things and making it miserable for us to hold on the normal life. The yatra is all hooked on long-distance travel and mass interaction that shouldn’t be allowed to strictly avoid and curtail virus transmission. Even the restricted number of Yatris can be transmittable to one another at first and the rest of the community later. It should be specified that India has not properly recovered from the terrible second-wave hit. The predicted third wave may take place with the misguided efforts of inter-regional travel. If it is assumed to transport Yatris in a fixed number, adopting the proper protocol, and following SOPs, it wouldn’t be feasible to say that the Yatra will remain safe. The authority needs to pay attention to the health and safety of Yatris in these rough times when nothing is either smooth or unequivocal. Yatras will take place in the future too. All the religious gatherings will be held again. The major festivals in the country will resume one day. Every other thing can and will wait, but the prime condition is life. If people are disciplined appropriately, their lives will be safer. If they are given a chance to move, they invite a threat to themselves and dispense it to others.
