It was quite more disturbing to hear the famous Indian Guru abusing science and degrading the efficaciousness of Allopathy medicine. According to him, the deadly Coronavirus could have treated by certain Yoga stunts and the use of Homeopathy (apparently a herbal product of his company – Coronil that he claimed to have had the WHO approval). Neither did Coronil have global health recognition nor does Yoga help in treating Coronavirus. It’s humorous how the one who never knew about science proposed to challenge the science. One wonders about such remedial claims made by the finest guru in the country. It was more like an insignificant comment made by a designated significant Guru. Such has his irrelevant comments pushed the Allopathy Doctors that they came up protesting for his arrest. Even if Guru Ramdev had the sole purpose of advertising his product, he wasn’t supposed to justify the medicinal values of Allopathy. Poor Indians who still believe in the traditional beliefs and methods have lost their lives in lakhs. How can a mere Yoga stunt help cure a deadly infection or a herbal product affect the human body immediately and detect the virus? The business has some of its regulations; so as not to unnecessarily go against the values, but here it has. It was good to promote a self-declared authentic product but wasn’t acceptable to deny the truth of the relation between health and medicine (Allopathy). Even when the whole Doctor community went against Baba Ramdev and was demanding his arrest, he seemed to be so over-confident that he cross-questioned if there is anyone’s father who can bother to arrest him? This is enough to reveal the illicit power simpletons hold in the country.
