With the arrival of the month of Ramadhan, once again, mankind is favored with repentance for the remission of his sins. Forgiveness is one of the qualities of Almighty, hence making it possible for a person to kneel down in front of his lord and ask for mercy. Those who are overburdened with sins, who have loads of sins, who have fewer sins in number, or even have just thought about committing one are all equal in his eyes. He does not concern himself with discrimination. He is the creator and all his creation is equally dear to him. Considering oneself undeserving his mercy may delay the bounty. His kindness is to shower upon his creation, but one has to ask for it. Consequently, we are bestowed with thirty days of continuous blessings and mercy. All one has to do is gather the mercy of merciful. These 30 days are bifurcated into three segments: The first ten days (first Ashra) of Mercy. Second ten days (second Ashra) of Forgiveness, and the last ten days (third Ashra) of protection from hellfire. In the month of Ramadhan, satan and his troops are tied, caged, and forbidden to go near a prostrating Muslim. One is allowed to reconsider his sins and repent. Since it is an incipient of endowment of mercy and pardon for mankind, let’s get closer to him!
