SRINAGAR: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Tuesday felicitated the people of J&K over the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan.

“Ramadan is known as the leader of all months, in which the Quran was revealed to our beloved Prophet (saw). In these auspicious moments we must strive to make ourselves better human beings and aid others who need our help,” Bukhari observed.

He also urged the administration to chalk out a comprehensive strategy wherein it is ensured that no inconvenience is faced by the people during this holy month.

“The administration and its allied departments must ensure that an uninterrupted 24×7 electric and water supply is maintained throughout this blessed month alongwith periodic sanitation drives across all the localities in J&K,” he demanded.

He further demanded that the CAPD department must ensure abundant supply of food grains along with other related essential commodities in the markets.

“The Food department must ensure that there exists no scarcity of essential commodities. Besides, Market checking squads must also be dispatched to counter price-hikes, food adulteration and hoarding,” he urged.
