New Delhi, Apr 13 (UNI) Delhi Commission for Women Chairperson Swati Maliwal on Tuesday urged the Centre to cancel the CBSE board exams, saying the students’ lives should not be put at risk.

“As Covid is spreading at a very rapid rate, The centre government should #CancelBoardExams2021 . It has been seen that many young people are getting infected in this Covid wave. We should not put our student’s lives at risk,” Ms Maliwal said in a tweet.

Earlier in the day, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to made a similar request to the central government.

He also said that according to reports available with him, 13,500 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours in Delhi.
