The voice over the revocation of the blanket ban imposed by the Government on the mining across J&K has gone loud goes as the shortage of construction material has paralyzed the construction works across Kashmir. Be it government works or private, every construction work has come to almost a grinding halt amid the complete ban on the mining. Nonetheless, the administration seems to are looking for alternate means and thus has simultaneously paid less attention to ease out the crisis in which the public stands engulfed. With the imposition of ban, the suppliers are not able to meet the demands on the ground. It’s something that isn’t being talked about while the developmental works are taking a hit and the commoners are suffering. Besides affecting the construction works, the ban has also taken a heavy toll on the people affiliated with the trade. One fails to understand why the administration didn’t bother to look into the possible consequences before taking such a decision, which has affected a large chunk of the population across the Union Territory. Therefore, in order to assist the affected people, there is a need to take the issue seriously henceforth and take measures to ensure that the ban is revoked or some alternative decisions are taking so that the prevalent situation is come to an end forthwith and the people especially those who are associated with the trade would heave a sigh of relief.
