Police-public meeting conducted by Rajouri Police at Sunderbani

RAJOURI: A meeting with the public was held at Sunderbani by SP Rajouri – Sheema Nabi Qasba (IPS) along with Addl. SP Nowshera – G L Sharma (JKPS) and SDPO – DySP Zakir Mirza.

The meeting was attended by Sh. Rajinder Sharma – Member, DDC Sunderbani, Sh. Arun Sharma – BDC Chairman, Sunderbani, Sh. Balkrishan Sharma – BDC Chairman, Siot, Dy. Chairman MC Sunderbani, Sarpanches, Members of Municipal Committee, retired officers, members of the media fraternity and several respectable citizens of Sunderbani and adjoining areas.

The meeting was focused on an introduction among the participants, and a discussion on the social and legal issues facing the area.

The participants highlighted issues such as, drug abuse and peddling, family disputes, need for a women’s cell, issues of cruelty against animals, the need for sports tournaments and career counselling and guidance in the area.

SP Rajouri assured them that their suggestions regarding youth engagement and counselling would be taken up on priority. For prevention and detection of crime they were assured of strict and fair enforcement of laws.

The participants highlighted the rich culture of education and literacy in the area and reaffirmed their commitment towards betterment and development of the area.
