JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir shooter Chain Singh has targeted a gold medal in the ISSF World Cup at the national capital while Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has extended congratulations to the ace shooter for his achievement.
Chaim Singh has won a gold medal in the ISSF world cup in the 50 MTR Rifle 3 position team event.
“Congratulations to son of soil, Shooter Chain Singh for winning the gold medal in the 50m rifle 3 positions men’s team event of the #ISSFWorldCup in New Delhi,” the office of LG Sinha tweeted.
He further said, “This is a remarkable achievement and people of the UT are proud of his achievement. My wishes to him for more success.”
Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma also greeted ace shooter of Doda, Chain Singh for winning a Gold medal.
The DC held a phone conversation with Chain Singh and extended warm greetings to him.
DC said that he is an asset for the country and an inspiration for the young generation to adopt sports as a profession.
The DC wished him good luck for his future endeavours and asked him to keep working hard and keep shining like a star at the international level.
Chain Singh, a resident of Chanser, a small village of Bhalessa Doda, has won many titles during his several years long career.
He has won more than 90 medals in national and international events which include 11 gold medals, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals in international events.
He has also represented the country in the 2016 Rio Olympics in Brazil and the 2018 Commonwealth Games held in Australia.
