Need to complete pending projects

Many of the pending projects are awaiting completion from past several years while the administration seems less bothered in ensuring the completion of the projects as no concrete steps have been taken by the authorities concerned in this regard. Among the pending projects, several bridges in Srinagar district are also awaiting completion. The bridges include Qamarwari bridge, Soiteng Lasjan bridge, DC office bridge and others. It has been years together that these bridges have not been completed due to one reason or the other, thus adding to the miseries of the people, especially commuters. One fails to understand why it is taking so long to complete the bridges. These bridges should have been completed several years back, but the noncompletion of the bridges are only depicting the lethargic approach displayed by the concerned authorities so far, which should be dealt with strictly. There are people who question the delay in completion of these projects and have been appealing to the concerned to look into the matter and take action in this regard so that the pending projects are completed within a short span of time. The government should consider acting tough against the delay in completion of these projects and direct the concerned to speed up its work in this regard and ensure that the bridges are completed shortly without any further delay. The delay in completion of these would only leave the commuters to lurch at large, thus should get proper approach by the concerned at an earliest.
