Just a few months after the water supply remained unaffected in Srinagar areas, the people across the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, are set to face hardships due to the water crisis as the Ranguil water canal has yet again got affected due to the landslip. One fails to understand how long the people will have to face such hardships as there was no end to the sufferings of people from the last two years due to the previous breach at the Ranguil water canal. There are people who question the inefficiency and negligence of the authorities concerned in ensuring adequate and unaffected water supply to the people across Srinagar. Being one of the capitals of the Union Territory, the government should have laid special focus on Srinagar as the people who visit Kashmir mostly stay here for days together, thus the issues being faced by people are only giving a bad impression to the visitors. There is a need to understand that sufferings of consumers must come to an once for all and ensure that an alternative is made for them at an earliest to mitigate their sufferings. The government must consider keeping the water in store to ensure that the supply to the people will not get affected especially at a time when the breach or any damage occurs to the place of the water canal or pipelines. These crises must be put to an end so that the people here could heave a sigh of relief.
