PMC reviews work plan for SMGS, MCH Gandhi Nagar

JAMMU: Dr. Shashi Sudhan Sharma, Principal Government Medical College and Associated Hospitals today   reviewed the plan of works for SMGS hospital and Maternal Child Health (MCH) Hospital Gandhi Nagar here at a meeting.

During the meeting the PMC was apprised that the repair and renovation work of thalassemia ward, Pediatric Surgery department and Auditorium of SMGS is in last phase and shall be handed over to the concerned departments soon.

The meeting decided to send the requirements for upgradation of ward number 14, 15 and Neonatal Intensive Care unit ( NICU) to the concerned quarters.

The PMC directed the concerned for early completion of Emergency Triage Assessment and Treatment (ETAT) for better patient care.

She stressed on starting the Pediatric surgery, ETAT, NRC, thalassemia ward, besides upgradation of labs, battery bank/oscillator for the safety of ventilators, renovation of wards, upgradation of stage-2 labour room in a time bound manner.

Dr. Sudhan also took review of pending works of MCH Gandhi Nagar and directed the concerned XEN to complete it on time.

The PMC directed the concerned to submit the pending DPR so that the work can be started soon.

The meeting was attended by Nagendra Singh Jamwal, Administrator GMC & AH; Sonia Vaid, Deputy Director Planning ( P&S); Dr. Manoj Chalotra, MS SMGS; Dr. Arun Sharma, MS Super Speciality Hospital; Dr. Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Dy. MS SMGS; XEN civil and mechanical, electrical and others.
