Major fire breaks out at Vicco Laboratories in Nagpur, no casualties reported

Nagpur: A major fire broke out at Vicco Cosmetics Laboratories at MIDC Hingna’s area in Maharashtra’s Nagpur district, Chief Fire Officer (CFO), Rajendra Uchake said.
According to the official the fire broke out on Sunday night at around 1140 hrs when a large amount of smoke started emanating from the company’s premises.
As many as ten fire tenders pressed into service to douse the fire. Firefighters worked tirelessly to bring the fire under control.
Although no casualties were reported in the inferno, the company suffered huge losses. Cosmetics are manufactured in the company.
The fire engulfed the ground plus two stories structure and collapsed due to heat.
The exact reason behind the fire and material loss could not be ascertained immediately, the official added.
